Tales OF Diving From Bali

Tulamben Wreck

This is a great dive! First time I saw ‘Flash Light’ fish!

We stayed in nearby guest house and arranged the diving with them. We put our gear together in the dive shop & the DM says ‘Let’s go’, so I stopped to pick up my kit & he laughs and says ‘leave it’.

As we walked along the beach to the entry site I glanced back & saw to young Balinese girls following us with all our equipment on their heads!

It is a shore entry & very easy. The coral encrusted wreck is well worth it & a quick look into the engine room, and with our torches turned off, you can see the flash light fish, they really do shine like a light!

This site can be dived from anywhere in Bali as transportation will be included, however, around 11:00 o’clock bus loads of ‘try a dive’ candidates & divers from Kuta  decent on the place making a bit of a jamboree!

If you want to dive here I would recommend staying at Tulamben and diving it in the morning, thus missing the crowds, or arrange your own transport and arrive early.

The second dive was a wall dive going away from the wreck and that was a great dive too.

When we finished our second dive, we just took off our dive gear and left it on the beach. Out of nowhere 2 Balinese ladies did appear and carried our equipment back to the shop!! - Oh that all dives could be like this!!
