Unlike most other places in the Philippines, the dive boats used are conventional boats not local banca.  No less than 25 Japanese ships were reported sunk during the war years. It is widely believed that an additional ten large ships may lie within the Bay. The area is not limited to WWII wrecks, at the entrance to the bay alongside Grande Island, is the remains of the Spanish American war wreck San Quintin.

The resplendent colors of corals found in Anilao's waters make the place ideal for underwater photography. Need to take a break from diving (although we can't imagine why you'd want to)? Our location is also perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Or get out of the water and have a beach picnic. Better still, explore the many neighboring islands on our outrigger boats.

Anilao is the center of diving activity in southern Luzon. It is a world renowned location among underwater photographers for its unique macro life. With us you will dive from local outrigger boats called bancas. They accomadate 4-5 divers plus a divemaster. Bancas are a very stable way to get you from site to site and they bring money to the local economy. You will never find yourself on an overcrowded boat here!!

International airports are located in Manila, Clark and Subic Bay (apparently). Most people will arrive at Manila or Clark. Buses and Jeepneys will get you where you want to go!

A wide range of accommodation is available throughout the Philippines.

Basically, you book a ‘dive resort’ center that will offer pick you up, provide accommodation and diving all in, or you can get yourself to where you want to dive and book it all yourself!

A lot of diving is from the local outrigger ‘banka’ boats which are good fun! You’ll get wet, of course, but then you’re diving anyway!
