Chumphon Called the gateway to the South, it does have some dive sites although most people just transit through here on their way to Koh Tao (ferries leave from Pak Nam pier). The dive sites are weather dependant and any site close to shore will suffer from water running off the land. Most sites are a fair boat ride away and not much diving happens during the rainy season. Best time to dive is May till October.
