You can only reach here from Thailand at the moment, so decide if you want the short boat ride, which would be from Ranong, or the longer run from Khoa Lak or Phuket
BURMA BANKS The Burma Banks and the Mergui (Myiek) archipelago have only recently opened up for diving and you will hear terms like ‘unexplored’, 'looking for new sites’, 'every dive is an adventure'. This may well be true! The visa for diving in Burma (Mynamar) adds a hefty chunk to the price and if you are diving here from Phuket, check how many dives you will make in Burma as you will make some dives on the way up in Similans & Surin islands.

To dive the Burma Banks you will need to contact an operator in Thailand. The nearest to Burma (Myanmar) is Ranong, but you can book in Khoa Lak and Phuket
