WHERE TO STAY
Your choice is Krabi town or the beaches. The beaches tend to be a little more expensive and Railey beaches can only be reached by a long tail.
TAKE ME THERE
Krabi is easily accessed by road from Phuket, Surat Thani and Hat Yai and from Bangkok, Koh Samui, and Singapore by direct flights. The new International Terminal completed in March 2006 will bring flights from all over the world direct to Krabi.
Flights are much cheaper now that Thailand has allowed low cost carriers. Check out Bangkok Air, Nok Air, and Air Asia.
Krabi When most people say Krabi, they normally mean the beaches of Railey & Ao Nang. However, Krabai town has had something of a make over recently and it’s not a bad place to stay; certainly cheaper than the beach areas. Dive trips also leave from the town as well. There are local dive sites and day trips to Phi Phi and the dive sites off Phuket (King Cruiser, Shark Point & Anemone Reef)
