LOGISTICS
Dive shops provide free transport to & from the boat, so basing yourself within walking distance of a pier or dive shop isn't necessary.

There are now some very upmarket places and some budget bungalows, probably not as cheap as Koh Samui & Koh Tao

KOH CHANG Reasonable diving with an old naval wreck, but mostly shallow diving
YOU ARE LOOKING AT DIVING IN KOH CHANG, THAILAND. MOVING VERY MUCH INTO THE UPMARKET REGION, THERE ARE STILL SOME BUDGET PLACES LEFT; NOT THE CHEAP PLACE IT STARTED OUT AS.
4. Koh Wai
This area offers the chance of seeing reef sharks on the seabed. Leopard sharks have also been sighted here as have rays.
5. Wreck of the 'Thonburi'.
The Thonburi was a Thai naval vessel sunk by the French in 1941 in shallow waters close to the southeastern tip of Koh Chang.
6. Hin Luk Bat.
'One of the more popular dive sites. The pinnacle drops down to over 20 metres with plenty to see at varying depths.
1. Koh Rang
The small islands and rock pinnacles surrounding Koh Rang offer the best diving in the area. The depth of most dives in the Koh Rang area is between 10 and 15 meters.There are several dive sites here
2. Koh Kra
The north coast of Koh Rang provides a gently sloping reef and the coral lies less than five metres form the surface making this a fun, shallow dive ideal for training dives
3. Hin Rap
Another rock pinnacle where staghorn corals and an abundance of smaller reef fish are the main attractions. This isn't an area for deep water diving as the southern side drops to a maximum of 16 metres.
