Seeing the world through a mask

Diving is possible all year around
Thailand has two monsoons, each affecting a different area at different times
Generally speaking, the Andaman Sea has it's monsoon May till October, while the Gulf of Thailand is October till May
Monsoons can make the seas unpredictable and sometimes rough, though diving is still
possible. Water is warm +/-
VISAS
Most nationalities get 30 days free on entry -
3 month and annual visas are available, at a cost, from embassies. Beware: overstays of visa are currently 500 Baht a day

TAKE ME THERE
Most European international flights normally go into Bangkok, although there are other international airports you mostly have to change at Bangkok. From around Asia direct flights to the islands are possible, notably Phuket. Thailand does have an excellent bus network, trains down to Malaysia & Singapore, and cheap internal flights.
